North Bengal Teachers' Training College
Bikour is a middle place of the District Uttar Dinajpur, The Place was under the heels of poverty and ignorance for want to proper education. A signal at green light was seen in the locality as and when a high School and High Madrasha School was established 1956 and 1973 . The name of the school is Karandighi High School (H.S) and Rahatpur High Madrasha (H.S).
North Bengal Teachers’ Training College is situated at the village Bikour under karandighi P.S at Uttar Dinajpur District in W.B. It was founded by Abul Kalam an educationist and social worker. He is also founder of Registered Society namely Domohana Elite Welfare Society under which college runs. The college was granted due recognition by NCTE in 2013 and is affiliated to the University of Gour Banga to conduct B.Ed Course with 100 intake capacity. Subsequently the college was accorded permission by the NCTE in the year of 2017 to conduct D.El.Ed Course with 50 intake capacity. The D.El.Ed Section is affiliated to the West Bengal Board of Primary Education. The B.Ed College was first affiliated to U.G.B but now it is affiliated to the West Bengal University of Teachers’ Training Education Planning and Administration (WBUTTEPA). Now the College is a composite institution with B.Ed and D.El.Ed course. The College is running most satisfactory and smoothly with highly qualified faculty and staff and with excellent results.
